“There is no time like the present, and you can't gain experience by thinking about what you could do one day. Make every choice motivated."

The Interview Q&A
How long have you been working in the film industry? Where did you get your start?
“I've been working for about 7 years on independent projects.”
Who is your biggest inspiration? What have they taught you?
“I love Gregg Toland. He taught me that you can always push the boundaries in filmmaking. You make your own opportunities.”
Where do you draw your inspiration from?
“I tend to draw my inspiration from music. However, music makes me feel, I try to convert that into an aesthetic.”
What are some of the biggest things you’ve accomplished in your career so far?
“My short films have gone international, and I have gotten to write films that feature people who don't typically have a voice.”
Where do you see yourself in 5 years from now? (No dream is too big!)
“In five years, I feel myself still doing what I love all over the country. I want to continue to write and shoot films that force people to think from a different perspective.”
If you had one piece of advice for a woman who wants to get started in the film industry what it would be?
“My advice would be to start now. There is no time like the present, and you can't gain experience by thinking about what you could do one day. Make every choice motivated.”
